AEM Pre-sales Principal architect – Director
Director, Principal Solution Architect
Company: Bounteous
Practice: India · Adobe Experience Practice
Focus: AEM · Content Supply Chain · Agentic Customer Experience Orchestration
Level: Director – Principal Solution Architect
Experience: 15–20 years
Locations: Bengaluru · Hyderabad · Chennai
About the Role
Bounteous is hiring a Director - Principal Solution Architect to anchor our most complex Adobe Experience Manager, content-supply-chain, and agentic customer-experience-orchestration engagements for enterprise clients across India and our global accounts.
An architecture leader in equal measure — deep technologist, trusted executive advisor, and pursuit leader — sitting between the CXO's ambition and the teams that make it real. As an Adobe Platinum Partner and Anthropic Preferred Services Partner, Bounteous is investing heavily in agentic, AI-native experience delivery, and this role is central to it.
What You'll Own
Client Advisory & Strategic Engagement
- Advise C-level stakeholders — CMO, CIO, CTO, CDO — translating business objectives into Adobe Experience Cloud and customer-experience-orchestration roadmaps.
- Lead discovery, architecture envisioning, and digital-transformation strategy sessions with client leadership.
- Provide thought leadership on DXP, personalization, journey orchestration, and the shift to agentic CX.
Enterprise Architecture & Technical Depth
- Own end-to-end enterprise architecture for large, multi-brand, multi-geo programs — integrating AEM with CDP, commerce, DAM, personalization, analytics, and search.
- Formulate complex, defensible blueprints across content architecture, headless/hybrid, composable and API-first patterns, security, performance, scalability, and TCO.
- Define integration and data strategy — CRM, ERP, data lakes/warehouses, martech/adtech — enabling identity, segmentation, activation, and real-time omnichannel personalization.
- Set the technical bar and defend the hard trade-offs — build vs. configure, headless vs. hybrid, composable vs. monolith — to client enterprise architects.
Adobe Experience Manager & Content Supply Chain Mastery
- Deep, hands-on expertise across every generation of AEM — classic 6.x through AEM as a Cloud Service; Sites, Assets, Forms, Universal Editor.
- Command of Edge Delivery Services (EDS) — document-based and Universal Editor authoring, block architecture, and Core Web Vitals-first delivery.
- Architect the full Adobe content supply chain — AEM Assets and Content Hub, Workfront, GenStudio for Performance Marketing, and Firefly / Firefly Services (working knowledge).
- Speak fluently to the entire Adobe ecosystem — AEP, Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, Target, Analytics/CJA, Commerce — even without hands-on depth in every product.
Agentic AI & Customer Experience Orchestration
- Architect agentic CX on AEP Agent Orchestrator and CX Enterprise — coordinating the content family of agents across content, personalization, and journeys.
- Design open, standards-based agent architecture using MCP and Agent2Agent — including MCP-based integration that brings Claude (Anthropic) into Adobe's Agent Orchestrator.
- Bring working command of Adobe's GenAI tooling — Firefly, Firefly Services, GenStudio — with a clear view of where AI creates measurable value versus hype.
- Point to real AI-powered PoCs and client work you've led, naming specific benefits — cycle-time, quality, personalization lift, or cost.
Decoding CX Vision, Scoping & Estimation
- Decode CX and transformation objectives from the CXO's mind into a structured value hierarchy.
- Translate CXO goals into epics, epics into user stories, and stories into clearly scoped, estimable workstreams — traceable from outcome to build.
- Turn scoping into effort calculators, converting scope, assumptions, and complexity drivers into repeatable, defensible estimation models.
- Optimize effort calculators with agentic AI and productivity data, folding delivery telemetry and AI-driven acceleration back into sharper, continuously improving estimates.
- Prepare credible, defensible estimates — effort, team shape, timeline, and cost — grounded in delivery reality, not optimism.
Roadmaps, Proposals & Pursuit Leadership
- Build phased implementation roadmaps balancing quick wins, foundational investment, and long-horizon transformation.
- Author complete proposals and RFP/RFI responses — exec summary, solution architecture, delivery approach, team model, estimates, timeline, risks, commercials.
- Craft exec summaries a CMO and marketers can rally behind — outcome-led, value-anchored, jargon-free — with solution detail that withstands CIO and enterprise-architect scrutiny.
- Lead and defend proposals in orals and architecture reviews, adapting the narrative live to the room.
Practice & Team Leadership
- Mentor and grow a bench of solution architects and technical leads across our India delivery centres.
- Codify reusable assets — architecture accelerators, effort calculators, and estimation frameworks that lift the practice's win rate and delivery quality.
Platform & Technology Expertise
- Adobe Experience Manager (deep): All versions, classic 6.x through AEMaaCS; Sites, Assets, Forms, Universal Editor. Many years hands-on.

- Estimation: Scoping-to-effort-calculator modelling, tuned with agentic-AI productivity data.
- Nice to have: AEM Guides (structured/DITA) knowledge; expertise not required. Ways of working: Agile/SAFe, EA governance, DevOps/CI-CD.
Experience & Qualifications
- 15–20 years in enterprise digital and experience technology, with a substantial, hands-on record architecting AEM-centred solutions over many years.
- Ownership of large, complex enterprise architectures for global brands, including integration and data strategy.
- Proven success authoring and defending winning proposals and estimates in competitive pursuits and RFP/RFI cycles.
- Fluency turning executive CX ambition into epics, stories, scope, effort calculators, roadmaps, and estimates.
- Hands-on with AEM, EDS, and Assets; working knowledge of Firefly, Firefly Services, and GenStudio; able to speak to the whole Adobe ecosystem.
- Has built AI-powered PoCs and/or applied AI on client work, and can point to specific, realized benefits.
- Excellent executive presence — equally credible with CMOs, marketers, CIOs, and enterprise architects.

AEM Architect – Adobe practice
About the Role
Bounteous, a Platinum Adobe partner and Anthropic Claude Preferred Services Partner, is strengthening its Adobe Digital Experience (DX) Practice in India. We are seeking an AEM Architect who combines deep technical mastery of Adobe Experience Manager with the solution-selling instincts of an Enterprise Architect.
This role is a dual-track position: you will lead AEM modernization engagements (On-Premise / AMS to AEMaaCS) for enterprise clients, while simultaneously evolving into a Headless CMS and Edge Delivery Services (EDS) architect as Adobe's composable DXP strategy matures. You will be a key practice-builder — shaping offerings, guiding pre-sales, scoping engagements, and mentoring delivery teams.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Architect — not just develop. You own the technical vision from discovery through go-live and hypercare.
- Pre-sales partnership with Adobe's India alliance team — joint pursuits, RFP responses, and CXO-level conversations.
- Headless / EDS growth path — formal progression to Headless CMS Architect with exposure to GraphQL, AEM Headless APIs, Universal Editor, and EDS.
- Platform breadth — work across Adobe Experience Cloud: AEM Sites, Assets DAM, Commerce, and integrations with Analytics, Target, CDP (RTCDP), and Journey Optimizer.
- India practice-building mandate — contribute to CoE development, capability frameworks, and talent scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Solution Architecture & Pre-Sales
- Lead architectural discovery workshops with CXO, VP Engineering, and Digital Experience stakeholders at enterprise clients.
- Translate business requirements into future-state solution blueprints encompassing CMS, DAM, personalization, analytics, and commerce integrations.
- Own technical scoping, effort estimation, and solution narrative in RFP/RFI responses and proposal creation.
- Conduct technical solutioning sessions with Adobe's Professional Services and partner teams to craft joint go-to-market propositions.
- Present architecture recommendations and risk mitigation strategies at the executive level.
- 2. AEM Migration & Cloud Transformation
- Drive end-to-end AEM migrations: On-Premise (6.x) and AMS to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) — discovery, architecture, implementation, and hypercare.
- Conduct BPA (Best Practices Analyzer) assessments, technical audits, and cloud-readiness evaluations covering custom components, OSGi services, workflows, replication, and integrations.
- Design cloud-native architectures: immutable deployments, Adobe Cloud Manager pipelines, RDE (Rapid Development Environment), and tier-based environments.
- Lead content migration strategy using Adobe's Content Transfer Tool (CTT), ingestion pipelines, and validation frameworks.
- Architect Dispatcher, CDN, and cache strategies aligned with AEMaaCS constraints and Adobe-managed CDN (Fastly).
- Modernize legacy code: migrate to Core Components, Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), Context-Aware Configurations, and editable templates.
- 3. Headless CMS & Edge Delivery Services Architecture
- Design headless and hybrid delivery architectures using AEM Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, GraphQL Persisted Queries, and the Assets Delivery API.
- Architect AEM Headless integrations with SPA frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue) using the AEM SPA Editor SDK or fully decoupled patterns.
- Lead Edge Delivery Services (EDS / Document-Based Authoring) engagements: Franklin architecture, Helix pipelines, blocks, and Sidekick configuration.
- Evaluate and recommend composable DXP patterns — when to use AEMaaCS vs. EDS vs. hybrid, and how to integrate headless commerce (Magento / Adobe Commerce) and CDP.
- Govern Universal Editor adoption for visual editing in headless implementations.
- 4. Technical Leadership & Delivery Governance
- Lead, mentor, and code-review onshore and offshore AEM development teams (5–20 engineers).
- Define engineering standards: Git branching strategy, WKND-aligned component architecture, CI/CD quality gates, unit test coverage (AEM Mocks / JUnit5), and dispatcher validation.
- Drive performance engineering: AEM query optimization (Oak indexes), Dispatcher TTL tuning, CDN configuration, and lazy-loading patterns.
- Manage integration patterns with Adobe Analytics (Launch/Tags), Adobe Target (A/B, XT, AP), Adobe Campaign, Marketo, and third-party systems via Adobe I/O Events and App Builder.
- Participate in architecture review boards (ARBs) and present technical designs to client enterprise architecture teams.
- 5. Practice & CoE Development
- Contribute to Bounteous' AEM practice collateral: accelerators, reference architectures, migration playbooks, and reusable component libraries.
- Define and maintain a Headless CMS and EDS competency roadmap for the India practice.
- Support hiring and skills assessment for AEM developer and architect roles.
- Author thought-leadership content (blogs, white papers, webinars) in alignment with Bounteous' Adobe partner positioning.

Operations Lead
About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned Project Manager / Operations Coordination Lead with 8+ years of experience to drive day-to-day project and resource management activities while also managing a small coordination team. This is a non-technical PM/Ops leadership role — you'll work hands-on yourself, mentor junior coordinators, and act as the primary point of contact between leadership, onshore teams, resource managers, and internal stakeholders. You'll be expected to bring structure, ownership, and judgment to ambiguous situations, and to represent the operations function directly to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a small team of PM/Operations Coordinators; distribute workload, review output quality, and build team capability
- Act as the primary escalation point for onshore-offshore coordination issues; step in personally on high-priority or sensitive items
- Report directly to leadership on project health, resourcing status, hiring pipeline, and operational risks — own the narrative, not just the data
- Bring process improvements and operational recommendations to leadership proactively, rather than waiting to be asked
Project & Resource Coordination
- Work closely with leadership as the senior operational and project coordination resource
- Coordinate with onshore teams and ensure smooth, timely communication between offshore and onshore stakeholders
- Prepare, review, and manage Statements of Work (SoWs) end-to-end
- Raise, track, and prioritize staffing requests; own the staffing pipeline across projects
- Coordinate with Resource Managers (RMs) for hiring and allocation follow-ups, resolving conflicts or delays personally when needed
- Manage OA allocations and resource tracking across multiple projects/teams
- Own onboarding and offboarding processes for team members, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Coordinate and, where needed, personally support interview scheduling and hiring activities
- Maintain and present project/resource reports and status updates to leadership on a regular cadence
- Ensure timely follow-ups and operational coordination across teams, chasing closure on open items rather than just tracking them
- Support and, when required, directly execute project operations activities — this is a working lead role, not purely supervisory
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, or PMO roles, with at least 2–3 years in a lead/supervisory capacity
- Proven experience managing or mentoring a small team while remaining individually hands-on
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including comfort presenting to leadership
- Solid experience in onshore-offshore coordination, ideally with US/global teams and overlapping shift hours
- Experience managing hiring and staffing processes end-to-end, including working with Resource Managers
- Strong familiarity with SoW management and resource allocation
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; comfortable owning multiple concurrent workstreams
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and escalate the right issues at the right time
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in IT services / project operations environments
- Experience working with global teams and overlapping US shift hours
- Exposure to team-lead or people-management responsibilities in a PMO/Ops setup
- Experience building or improving PMO processes and reporting frameworks
What We're Looking For
Someone who can own the operations function end-to-end — comfortable rolling up their sleeves on day-to-day coordination, while also managing a small team and representing operations directly to leadership. A person who anticipates problems before they escalate and brings solutions, not just updates.
Years of experience: 8 to 10 Years

Engineering Director
Role Summary
The Engineering Director is a senior technical delivery leadership role responsible for both the operational health of client delivery and the engineering rigor behind it. This role owns end-to-end delivery accountability for the assigned account while also holding the engineering organization to a measurable standard — performance, stability, observability, and AI-driven engineering practice — functioning as the single accountable point of contact for both delivery execution and technical health.
This is not a hands-on architect or individual-contributor engineering role. Deep architecture and code-level ownership remain with existing technical leads. The Engineering Director's value is in ownership, accountability, governance, and the technical fluency to engage credibly with client engineering leadership — not in writing code.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
• Own end-to-end delivery accountability for the account: project deliverables, estimation, sprint and backlog health, resource planning.
• Act as the checkpoint between new initiative requests and actual delivery capacity — ensuring no initiative converts from strategic discussion to a committed deadline without an accompanying resourcing and risk plan.
• Own SOW and scope-change tracking; enforce change-management discipline across active workstreams.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery-level risk, coordinating across workstream leads rather than resolving everything personally.
Engineering Rigor & Technical Governance
• Own and report on application/website performance across the account (Core Web Vitals, page load, transaction latency).
• Own platform stability posture: incident trends, RCA discipline and follow-through, disaster-recovery readiness, and closing single-point-of-failure gaps through documented backups and cross-training.
• Establish and mature monitoring, alerting, and observability standards — component-level health visibility, not just aggregate dashboards.
• Own DORA metrics tracking and improvement across engineering teams: deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, mean time to recovery.
• Drive AI-enabled SDLC adoption (code-assist tooling, auto-investigation, agentic workflows) with a clear, quantified delivered/in-progress/roadmap narrative.
• Identify and drive AI-based solutions that solve concrete client business problems (e.g. pricing/promotion validation, process automation), partnering with client stakeholders to shape the roadmap.
Client & Portfolio Leadership
• Act as a credible, technically fluent counterpart to client engineering leadership (VP Engineering / CTO-level) in prioritization, roadmap, and trade-off conversations.
• Build and maintain a proactive capacity and demand plan for the account — surge planning ahead of known peak periods, and a resourcing model that does not rely on ad hoc fractional allocation.
• Contribute to standardizing engineering governance practices that can extend to additional accounts in the portfolio over time, once justified independently on each account.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
• Manage and develop a team of 50+ engineering and delivery professionals across the account/portfolio, including org structure, shift/location coverage planning, and workforce/hiring plans.
• Own formal performance management for the team: review cycles, promotion recommendations, individual development plans, and retention/attrition management.
• Mentor and grow the next layer of technical and delivery leadership, reducing single-point-of-failure dependency on any one individual.
• Own the interface with third-party/vendor support teams (e.g. managed-service or L1/L2 partners) — escalation paths, validation ownership, and reporting expectations.
Commercial & Executive Accountability
• Own delivery accountability for $5M+ of engineering work — forecasting, staffing-cost management, and utilization/margin health for the account.
• Own executive-level reporting (QBR-level) to both Bounteous and client leadership on delivery, engineering health, and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
• 14+ years in software engineering or technical delivery leadership, including 5+ years at Director level or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ownership of both delivery outcomes and engineering/technical quality outcomes — not a pure project-management background.
• Proven experience managing teams of 50+ engineering/delivery professionals, including formal performance management and career development.
• Demonstrated ownership of $5M+ in engineering delivery value, including commercial/forecasting accountability.
• Working knowledge of modern commerce/cloud platforms, observability tooling (e.g. Datadog, Grafana), CI/CD pipelines, and DORA metrics.
• Experience driving AI-enabled engineering practices (SDLC tooling, agentic workflows) strongly preferred.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills; demonstrated ability to operate as a peer-level partner to client VP/Director-level engineering stakeholders.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or composable commerce platforms preferred.

Senior SCALA Developer
Overview
The client uses the Scala Digital Signage platform in a highly customized manner. While Scala's networking, player-management, publishing, and status capabilities are generally used as designed, most of the content displayed on screen is generated programmatically. Scala's native content-authoring tools provide the presentation shell, while custom Python software controls much of the actual content, behavior, event processing, and external-system interaction.
An engineer supporting this environment must first understand how to design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot an enterprise-scale digital signage system. This includes recognizing normal production behavior, identifying conditions that require intervention, and diagnosing issues across the signage platform, players, networking, content, data sources, and display hardware.
The engineer must understand Scala Content Manager and its use of FrameSets, Screen Regions, Playlists, Channels, Scheduling, and Content to organize and publish presentations. They must also understand Scala's content-creation environment, content deployment and troubleshooting, metadata-driven configuration, and the mechanisms used to execute Python applications within Scala content.
Because the majority of the client's dynamic content is generated programmatically, advanced Python software-development skills are essential. The current implementation uses an object-oriented, class-based architecture designed to support multiple content variations while sharing a common application platform.
A major portion of the environment has been modernized from tightly coupled, content-specific Python applications into a reusable software architecture. Shared functionality such as event handling, network communication, configuration, logging, data processing, and common runtime services is implemented in reusable Python libraries. Individual signage applications primarily define content-specific behavior while relying on the shared framework for the underlying infrastructure. This substantially improves maintainability, consistency, reliability, and the ability to develop new signage applications without duplicating large amounts of code.
The environment also requires network-level Python development, including socket-based communication used to access the Vision system backend and associated APIs. This role may also involve integrating specialized hardware and device drivers into the Scala environment. Candidates should therefore have experience designing, packaging, deploying, and supporting production Python applications and the tooling and automation required to maintain them.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the client's Scala Digital Signage applications and supporting Python software.
- Design and maintain reusable Python libraries and application frameworks used across multiple signage solutions.
- Integrate signage applications with external systems, APIs, data sources, databases, and specialized sensors or hardware.
- Develop and support event-processing, socket-based communication, and network-integration logic.
- Support Scala Content Manager, Scala Player, content deployment, configuration, publishing, and production operations.
- Diagnose production issues across application code, Scala components, players, networking, external data sources, sensors, and display hardware.
- Design new signage solutions while preserving compatibility with the existing client architecture.
- Work directly with client business and technical stakeholders to translate operational requirements into production solutions.
- Provide technical guidance for deployment, troubleshooting, support, and future expansion of the digital signage environment.
Required Skills
- Strong Python software-development and software-architecture experience are essential. Candidates must be capable of designing and maintaining reusable libraries and production applications rather than simply modifying existing scripts.
- Experience with enterprise digital signage, Scala Digital Signage, networked applications, APIs, event-driven systems, socket programming, hardware integration, distributed-system troubleshooting, and Windows-based production environments.
- Because the client's implementation is highly customized, the role requires an engineer capable of understanding and troubleshooting the system as an integrated whole rather than treating Scala, Python, networking, content, player infrastructure, and external systems as separate disciplines.
